INNOVATION IN AUTOIMMUNITY

Bio-Diagnostics have developed an innovative and revolutionary new test format. QuickCard is a unique two-step test that provides a visual result in less than 10 minutes. No instrumentation is required and each test card is suitable as a rapid screening test for individual patients. Where low volume tests or emergency results are required, QuickCard is the ideal solution. Clinical tests have shown QuickCards to offer very high levels of specificity and sensitivity, with performance characteristics equivalent or greater than ELISA and western blotting.

Each QuickCard test comprises a credit card sized plastic device with a test window providing the reaction site.

The test window is covered by a uniquely constructed label that can be used to re-seal the card for disposal. Purified antigens and a control antibody are immobilized on the reactive surface.

With each QuickCard is provided a serum diluent and vial of developing reagent. To perform the test, a specified volume of the patient's serum is added to the vial containing the sample diluent. The filter tip is applied to the vial and the vial contents are squeezed on to the test window. Once the liquid has been absorbed into the QuickCard the developing reagent is then squeezed onto the test site. Once the developing reagent is fully absorbed, the test result can be read visually.
